Danny Yetter


Danny YetterDaniel T. Yetter, age 74, passed away peacefully on June 26, 2012 (Tuesday) after a long, hard fought battle with Myasthenia Gravis (MG). Beloved husband of Wanda Mae (nee Jones); loving father of Matthew Todd Yetter, Jill Michele (Rob) Hubbard, and Susan Elaine Yetter; born to Betty Morse Forrester (deceased) and Frederick Milton Yetter (deceased); devoted brother of Patricia Diane Kinman of Tulsa, OK; caring uncle of Christopher Charles Kinman and Elizabeth Diane Wiseman of Tulsa, OK. Dan graduated from Will Rogers High School in Tulsa, OK, graduated from Tulsa University while on a baseball scholarship, and served in the Oklahoma Army National Guard. Dan started his career at Sinclair Oil in Tulsa, OK. He moved to Atlanta, GA in 1969 with BP Oil; then moved to Cleveland, OH in 1971 with Sohio; then started working at Progressive Insurance in Mayfield Village, OH in 1982. He retired from Progressive as the Information Technology Director on January 19, 2007. He was a diehard Cleveland and Oklahoma sports fan, always rooted for the underdog, and was a coach and mentor to all.

A Tribute and Memorial Service for Dan will take place on Monday, July 2, 2012 at 6 PM at the West Shore Unitarian Universalist Church, 20401 Hilliard Blvd., Rocky River, OH 44116. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Myasthenia Gravis Foundation of America, 355 Lexington Avenue, 15th Floor, New York, NY 10017.
